In continuation of the Just One Bite series Diandra and Lizbeth are looking for a new housekeeper after Margaret falls and breaks her hip while on vacation; Adrian is introduced to their household as the new live-in housekeeper. Adrian is a Wiccan and familiar with Vampires and their needs. Lizbeth becomes the target of the newly promoted DA Carson Giles as he plans her demise. In a series of twists and turns Alexar is killed, Lizbeth frames a not so innocent drug dealer for a series of murders, and finally makes Diandra promise to turn her if she should ever be so close to death that even RaeLynn can not help her. Taste of Grief Just One Bite #3 eBook Kay Glass Reviews
Another great installment to the "Just One Bite" series. This time around we're introduced to Adrian, a witch, a great addition to the group. You immediately love his character, hope we get to see more of him in the next book. Eamon as always is a great asset to Dia & Lizzy, God only knows what would happen without his guidance. I loved the storyline, we learned alot more about Lizzy in this book, her fears, her struggles, but above all her love for Dia & Rae. The storyline moves very quickly, no senseless mumbo, jumbo, just story. I was very surprised by the ending and look forward to the next chapter.
In this 3rd installment, Taste of Grief leaves you with a taste of suprise! No sooner has Lizbeth closed the case of the tainted heroin when a similar case pops up with cocaine overdoses in people who have never used drugs before in their lives. While working the case, Lizbeth suspects she knows who is behind it and if she's right, she knows that person will never see a court room, at least not from the defendants chair. Going against all she believes and stands for, Lizbeth makes a difficult decision in framing another drug dealer for the murders so that the real perp cannot continue his sick method. Lizbeth starts getting death threats and Diandra refuses to leave her alone until they can figure out what to do. Diandra hadn't wanted to leave Lizbeth alone, but Lizzi had assured her that she would be safe at the precinct. Well, while Lizbeth is waiting for Diandra to pick her up from the station, the real perp makes good on the threats. Can Dia get to Lizbeth in time or is she too late to save the woman she loves? You'll have to read it to find out. No spoilers from this chick! =)
It was a great read.
More, PLEASE! I love these characters and want to read more of their adventures. Please keep the "Just One Bite" series alive.. Please don't abandon them in favor of the Zombies!
This author always manages to surprise me. The things that come out of her mind are amazing! Love this series!
Finished reading Taste of Grief last night and did not expect the ending it had. Sad in a way, but understandable. The writing was tight and flowed nicely. I really hope there will be more in this series, since the black hat is still out there and needs to be dealt with. The lives of Lizbeth, Dia, Adrian, Eamon, and RaeLynn also leaves much to yet be told. Kay Glass, excellent work! D
An Early Book review before I work out ... Taste of Grief By Kay Glass this is the third installment of the the series with Lizbeth and Dia. When we last left them Dia's "undead" very bad husband tried to kill Lizbeth and would have succeeded had it not been for the "gift" Dia's baby Raelynn got because of her still being in the womb when Jonah (The nasty dead husband turned vampire) viciously attacked and changed Dia..Lizbeth is now a little weary of all the paranormal happenings in her life, after all she is a mere mortal in a world of well.. not normal.. after days of this tension in the house Liz and Dia FINALLY work things out.. a new case comes to the precinct where Lizbeth works and her and her Boss Alexar are trying to find who is killing innocent people by giving them their first lethal shot of tainted cocaine ...this is dangerous because there is no doubt the murderer is vampire District Attorney and hes untouchable.... on the homefront enter Adrian new housekeeper nanny hottie young wiccan (DO NOT CALL HIM A WARLOCK) he only practices White magic .. Raelynn bonds with him at once and he adds some peace and change into their home , Eamon is still around adding humor, in this story we get to know more about Lizbeth, she is one tough cookie.. and the love story between Liz and Dia gets better and more intense...I won't give any spoilers just know this, one of the beloved characters dies in this installment and one is almost killed...there is MAJOR action , Love scenes and horrific loss.... I give this book 5 wands ..LOVE this series Ms. Glass.... LOVE IT!!!
